The United States will phase out incandescent light this year and implement new energy efficiency lamps standards
Abstract: According to the 2007 U.S. Energy and Security Act, this nation will gradually phase out 100W incandescent lamps. The all lamps in shops could be sent out, but production and import were prohibited.
CCTV network reported, according to the 2007 U.S. Energy and Security Act, this nation will gradually phase out 100W incandescent lamps. The all lamps in shops could be sent out, but production and import were prohibited.
Under the Act, the United States will introduce a new energy efficiency standard for lamps, and phase out the traditional incandescent lamps which could not meet the energy efficiency standard by three steps.
From this year, the United States will phase out 100W incandescent to energy saving 25% to 30% lamps and the 75W incandescent will be phase out in 2013, even the 60W and 40W will be banned in 2014. However, the yellow lamps for safety tips and aquarium lamps as well as other special functions incandescent will not be eliminated .
U.S. Federal Trade Commission also provided all of the new production packaging from home and abroad must be labeled marked brightness, lifetime, color, appearance, etc. Stores can not sell the lower efficacy 100-watt incandescent; the lower efficacy 75W incandescent will be phase out in 2013; the lower efficacy 60W and 40W will be banned in 2014.
